Water Department

The Village of Powhatan Point Water Department provides water service to residents and businesses within the village. The department is responsible for maintaining the village water system, managing customer accounts, reading meters, preparing utility bills, and responding to water service concerns.

Residents may contact the Village Office with questions about water service, billing, account changes, payment options, or to report a possible issue with their water service. The village works to provide reliable service and to address concerns as quickly as possible.

Online Bill Payment

For convenience, the Village of Powhatan Point offers online utility bill payment. Residents may use the online payment system to review their balance and submit a payment electronically.

Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Water Service and Billing

Water customers receive regular utility bills for service provided by the Village of Powhatan Point. Bills may include water service and other applicable village utility charges.

Residents are encouraged to pay bills by the due date listed on their statement to avoid late fees or service interruptions. Anyone with questions about their bill, account balance, payment history, or service address should call 740-795-4201 or contact the Village Office.

Starting or Stopping Water Service

Residents who are moving into or out of a property in the village should contact the Village Office to make arrangements for starting, stopping, or transferring water service. Providing advance notice helps ensure that account information is updated and that final readings or billing changes can be handled properly.

Water Leaks and Service Issues

If you notice a possible water leak, unusually low water pressure, discolored water, or another concern with your water service, please contact the Village Office. Reporting issues promptly helps the village identify and respond to potential problems in the water system. During regular business hours contact the plant at 740-795-5917.

For water-related emergencies outside of regular office hours, residents should contact non emergency central dispatch number at 740-699-0431.

Board of Public Affairs

Board of Public Affairs consist of three elected board members which oversees the Water and Sewer Department. Meeting are held on the first and third Tuesday every month at 5:00 pm. They can be contacted by calling the Village Office.
